Top 5 Things Every Caregiver Should Invest In

Top 5 Things Every Caregiver Should Invest InTaking care of a family’s elderly loved ones is a privilege and a great responsibility. While the training of a caregiver provides for almost any eventuality, technology has provided some great tools for improving the quality of life of our senior citizens as well as taking some of the guesswork out of being a caregiver.

Read on for a look at five things that every caregiver would do well to consider investing in.

Fitbit Force

As a caregiver, one of your primary concerns should be helping the senior citizens in your care to live longer, healthier, and more active lives. To that end, Fitbit offers a range of advanced and easy-to-use gadgets that can help any senior citizen to challenge themselves to be more active on a daily basis.
The success of Fitbit comes down to the thoughtful design of their wearable technology devices. Devices like the Fitbit One and Fitbit Force are comfortably worn around the user’s wrist. They provide all kinds of feedback, including distance traveled and steps taken. It’s perfect for seniors who want to set goals for themselves.

TabSafe Medication Management System

If the senior citizen in your care relies on daily medications, then the TabSafe management system might be a worthy investment in their well-being. The base unit of the TabSafe is installed in a central location in the house, while its modular design provides expandability as necessary. The TabSafe provides information about dosage compliance on the included screen, or on a remote mobile device like a smartphone for easy off-site medication management.

It can even help caregivers to plan for the re-ordering of medications. In other words, it takes all of the guesswork and hassle out of dispensing medications.

ADT Home Security

We appreciate that as a caregiver, you won’t always be onsite to keep an eye on things. With that being the case, ADT home security monitoring has you covered. The ADT home security system has a host of advanced features including automatic threat detection, access to a network of monitoring centers, and an ease-of-use that easily outpaces the competition. ADT has invested decades into perfecting their home security systems; why would you entrust your senior citizen to anything less?

BeClose

One of the primary concerns for any senior citizen is being able to remain living in their own home for as long as possible. To that end, the BeClose monitoring system allows for that to happen. The system is comprised of sensors that are placed throughout the house. They allow for remote monitoring of the home using a secure and private webpage that caregivers and family members can retain access to.

If there are any disruptions in the house, the caregiver and local loved ones will receive an alert via text message, phone call, or email. It’s all wireless as well, meaning that setup couldn’t be easier.

GreatCall Responder

The 5Star Urgent Response Service is in place to provide quick a quick response in the event that a senior citizen is hurt or otherwise in distress. The GreatCall responder provides unobtrusive, mobile access to that service network. If a senior citizen presses the button on the GPS-enabled GreatCall Responder, certified response agents will work to identify them and pinpoint their location.

From there, the caregiver, family, and emergency services will be contacted as necessary. In other words, the GreatCall Responder provides ultimate peace of mind.

Lot of people does have concerns about safety and security features of seniors living in independent as well as assisted living communities. These are indeed great steps described so as to offer the best living space for senior personnel in communities. I did inquired about facilities that are being provided by Prestige Care Inc. California and I thin they arrange certain programs which are beneficial for leading a healthy life along with other security and safety features as described in blog, thanks.
