Our Story….
In 1887, Cedar Rapids widow, Catherine Hinkley, knocked on the door of her neighbor, Elsie Stewart, and asked if she could live with them. She was not looking for a handout, she offered to pay them $1 per week for her room and board. Soon others came to the Stewarts’ door with similar requests.
That was the beginning of what would become Kingston Hill…
