Families\u2019 Online Reviews Rank the Best of the Best of North American Senior Care<\/em><\/h2>\n

AUSTIN, TEXAS — DECEMBER 7, 2015<\/p>\n

\"SeniorAdvisor.com<\/a>SeniorAdvisor.com, the largest ratings and reviews site for senior care and services in North America, today announced the Best of 2016 Awards. Over 1,000 assisted living, in-home care, and other senior housing providers across the United States and Canada were recognized this year.<\/p>\n

Now in their third year, the Best of 2016 Awards celebrate the communities and agencies that have consistently received outstanding feedback from families on the SeniorAdvisor.com website. This exclusive designation places the winners in the top one percent of senior care providers according to those who matter most – their customers.<\/p>\n

The top three U.S. cities with the most winners represent San Antonio assisted living<\/a>, Tucson assisted living<\/a>, and Charlotte assisted living<\/a> providers. California, Texas, and Florida represent the top three states.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese award-winning providers are raising the bar in the senior care industry, and families are noticing,\u201d said Eric Seifert, President of SeniorAdvisor.com. \u201cSeniors and their loved ones are writing more online reviews than ever before. This year alone, we saw a 36 percent increase in the average number of reviews each winner has. It\u2019s because of the amazing work these organizations and their staff perform, and the increasing volume of the consumer online voice, that we were able to expand our awards program this year to over 1,000 winners. We\u2019re honored to highlight these providers, and we\u2019re especially excited this year to see more nursing homes and home care providers embracing online reviews.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over half of the winners offered more than one type of care to their seniors. Assisted living<\/a> was the most represented care type at nearly 60 percent, followed by Alzheimer\u2019s care<\/a> at 50 percent. The percentage of home care<\/a> winners this year rose the most compared to other care types, with over six times more winners than in 2015.<\/p>\n

According to a study conducted in May 2014, online reviews<\/a> have a profound impact on the purchasing behavior of consumers looking for senior care. Thanks to their five-star rating, providers like the ones featured in the Best of 2016 winners list are likely to enjoy double the move rates of providers with no ratings at all.<\/p>\n

To qualify for a SeniorAdvisor.com Best of 2016 Award, winners must have maintained an average overall rating of at least 4.5 stars and have received three or more new reviews within 2015. Additionally, winners must offer at least one of the following types of care: assisted living, Alzheimer\u2019s care, independent living, low-income senior housing, skilled nursing, or in-home care in the United States or Canada. This is the first year Canadian providers were eligible for an award.<\/p>\n
