The park is supported by the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and a team of volunteers who maintain an active Facebook page with updates, tips, and, of course, cute dog photos.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cbig dog\u201d among local parks is <strong>Otto Armleder Memorial Park<\/strong>, which sets aside 10 full acres for free-roaming dogs. Trees and shaded areas, dog showers, water fountains, and special zones for big and small dogs are all part of the appeal. With the leash on, your dog can accompany you on 8 miles of trails around the park\u2019s 300+ acres beside the Little Miami River.<\/p>\n<h2>Out on the town<\/h2>\n<p>Dogs are welcome to drop by <strong>Graeter\u2019s Ice Cream<\/strong> locations around Cincinnati on the 1st Tuesday of the month between May and September. At these <strong>Dogs\u2019 Night Out<\/strong> events, pups can enjoy free samples of frozen treats made just for them, while their owners enjoy handmade ice cream.<\/p>\n<p>Take Rex out to the ballgame on one of the <strong>Cincinatti Reds\u2019 Bark in the Park<\/strong> game days. These special events, held about 4 times a year, let dogs and owners sit together in the stands, take part in a pre-game pet parade around the field, browse the pet expo, and sit for a photo together. Tickets for Bark in the Park tend to sell out early, so it\u2019s a good idea to buy in advance if you\u2019re set on going.<\/p>\n<p>Stroll through history in <strong>MainStrasse Village,<\/strong> a quaint German neighborhood in Covington that features old-school architecture, a popular Oktoberfest, and an annual Dog Pawrade each fall.
