Who qualifies as a gorgeous grandma? First, having at least one grandchild is a must, obviously. Then any woman over fifty who believes she has her whole life ahead of her and not behind her. She is willing to try new things, learn new things and experience whatever comes her way. She is not stagnating, but still growing mentally. She\u2019s taking care of herself physically, too.<\/p>\n
Recognizing\u00a0Gorgeous Grandmas<\/h2>\n
Are you a gorgeous grandma? Do you know one? There are probably dozens of gorgeous grandmas in your community. Just think about the people around you. She doesn\u2019t have to be your own grandmother, although you should not forget her. You can identify several gorgeous grandmas who may not even know that July 23 is their day. Surprise them with a card and a small gift. The card can be homemade letting them know that you appreciate their fine example. I don\u2019t think Hallmark has caught up with this one yet (but I could be wrong). And the gift can be as simple as flowers from your yard or a plate of cookies.<\/p>\n
Celebrate<\/h2>\n
For your own gorgeous grandma, you\u2019ll want to do a bit more. Perhaps surprise her with dinner out at her favorite restaurant. Or maybe a gift certificate to her favorite salon. Flowers are always welcome. Ask her if you can keep her company for a day, help her with her chores and listen to her stories. You might be amazed by her wisdom.<\/p>\n
Plan Ahead<\/h2>\n
Now that you know about this holiday, you can get ready for it. Even better, start getting ready for when you can qualify as a gorgeous grandma. If you already are a gorgeous grandma, help those around you to age as gracefully and dynamically as you have. Share your secrets and your wisdom with those around you. Most of all, continue to be the wonderful example you already are.<\/p>\n
Growing old gracefully is an art. Let\u2019s celebrate these women who contribute so much to our lives and often go unnoticed. Let them know that you appreciate all they do and who they are. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. These women may be wrinkled and gray-haired, but their inner beauty shines through.<\/p>\n
