Counseling for all ages and life stages<\/h2>\n

The challenges of aging are easier to handle with someone to talk to. The Counseling Center at Charlotte is a project of the Metrolina Baptist Association, a group of several dozen Baptist congregations in greater Charlotte. The Counseling Center\u2019s certified pastoral counselors, licensed professional counselors, and social workers offer Christian-based help to anyone in need. Among the topics the Counseling Center deals with are aging, living with a chronic or terminal illness, depression, and bereavement. Clients can also take coaching sessions to help clarify their goals for life in retirement.<\/p>\n

The main Counseling Center at Charlotte office is inside the Metrolina Baptist Association building in Uptown, and there are satellite offices located in Concord, Albemarle, and Shelby.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also located just north of the Carolinas Medical Center Pineville, which is home to Novant Health Pineville Primary Care, Carolinas HealthCare, and the Levine Cancer Institute at Pineville.<\/p>\n

Suburban Baptist senior communities<\/h2>\n

Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina runs two communities in the greater Charlotte area. Taylor House in Albemarle, about an hour\u2019s drive northeast of Charlotte, caters to its residents with daily housekeeping, home-cooked meals, personal laundry service, and transportation. As a continuum of care home, residents can transition from independent to assisted living or skilled nursing as needed. The hundred-acre campus features a stocked lake for fishing, a putting green, gardens, and walking trails.
